Residentie Orkest plays for neighborhood residents Benoordenhout

On Saturday September 17, the Residentie Orkest visited the Benoordenhout neighborhood of The Hague with Music at your doorstep . Over 120 local residents listened attentively in the Duinzichtkerk to works for flute and harp by Bach, Fauré, Andriessen and Debussy, among others.

Painting of Love

Together with singer Fay Claassen, we are releasing the single 'Painting of Love'. The song was written by Fay and is a tribute to her father, Nijmegen artist Ger van de Geer. Fay has lovingly accompanied him in his life with dementia for over ten years.

Young composer writes piece for Prinsjesdag

The States General has commissioned a composition specially written for the United Assembly at Prinsjesdag by 26-year-old Dutch composer Max van Platen. This piece, "Ode al vento" (Ode to the Wind), will be performed at Prinsjesdag for the first time by our own brass quintet. Van Platen: "I tried to capture the character of Prinsjesdag in notes."

Residentie Orkest Returns to The Hague neighborhood of Transvaal

In the heart of the Transvaal district of The Hague, the most beautiful classical sounds resounded Sunday , September 11. The Residentie Orkest played masterpieces from the repertoire for piano, violin and cello this afternoon in JulianaPlaza.

The Residentie Orkest and DI-RECT are performing concerts together!

DI-RECT and Residentie Orkest The Hague will give concerts together in February 2023. On Feb. 4 they will perform together at AFAS Live Amsterdam, Feb. 12 at Mainstage Den Bosch and on Feb. 18 at Martiniplaza Groningen.
