Jun Märkl, the new chief conductor of Residentie Orkest The Hague

From season 2025-2026, German-Japanese conductor Jun Märkl will be the new chief conductor of the Residentie Orkest, succeeding Anja Bihlmaier. His appointment seals years of excellent cooperation: Märkl is a sought-after guest conductor and, since the summer of 2021, permanent guest conductor. He will be associated with the orchestra as chief conductor for a minimum of four seasons.

Star violinist Bomsori Kim performs solo in Tchaikovsky

Just last summer, she performed with our own chief conductor Anja Bihlmaier at the world-famous BBC Proms: South Korea's top violinist Bomsori Kim (b. 1989). Now she makes her debut in the Netherlands on Nov. 10 in Tchaikovsky's iconic Violin Concerto. "I am eagerly looking forward to my upcoming performance with the Residentie Orkest."
