Privacy Statement
The Residentie Orkest takes care at all times to safeguard the privacy rights of those whose personal data it processes. Accordingly, Residentie Orkest handles collected personal data confidentially and in all cases complies with the requirements imposed on it by current privacy legislation.
What personal data do we process?
The Residentie Orkest collects only personal information that is expressly and voluntarily made available to it. The information may include first and last name, address, gender, telephone number, e-mail address, amount spent and IP address. The Residentie Orkest may process personal data if required to do so by law or contract. The Residentie Orkest may process personal data on the grounds of vital interest, public interest or legitimate interest. If the personal data have not been obtained directly from the data subject, the data controller shall inform the data subject of the source from which the personal data originate and, where appropriate, whether they originate from public sources.

Marketing purposes
To inform you about the events of the Residentie Orkest and its (other) products and services and to tailor this information to your interests and preferences. For example: for the digital newsletter, when purchasing a ticket and promotions.
Website usage
To allow you to use our website, to analyze website visits, for the use of social media networks and for marketing purposes. We refer to our cookie policy (see "Profiling and Cookies").
Donorship
As a donor, we record and process your personal data for proper administrative processing and to provide you with relevant information about being a donor. For marketing purposes, Residentie Orkest may also supplement your personal data with publicly available information about you. If you object to this, there are several options (see below: What are my rights?).

Audience Research Cultural Sector
We process your data partly for research and statistical purposes. For this we use the data you provide yourself in the context of orders. If we conduct surveys, interviews, polls, etc., this concerns the data you leave behind at that time (the answers you provide yourself).
Among other things, together with The Hague & Partners, we process personal data (zip code and house number) to generate statistical data (including segmentation based on the Cultural Target Groups Model) and to collect information about our audience. The results of the various surveys cannot be traced back to natural persons. We use the anonymous data to account to our subsidizers, and for example as input for our programming and marketing policy. Will my customer profile be enriched?
We may enrich the customer data you provide with other data. We do this to gain insight into our customer base and offer our products/services to you in a more targeted manner. We may add information from external sources to the data as we have processed it from you. This includes, for example, demographic data as we may obtain it from third parties. This includes, for example, general data about zip code areas (average age of residents in a particular zip code area, average family composition, average income, etc.).
What is our retention period?
The Residentie Orkest will retain personal data provided no longer than necessary for the purposes for which they were collected. The Residentie Orkest applies a maximum retention period of five concert seasons with respect to the personal data of inactive natural persons. Inactive natural persons are defined as persons who have not used the services of the Residentie Orkest during that period. After the expiration of the objection period, your personal data will be deleted from our systems. Prior to deletion, the Residentie Orkest will send you an email for notification. The data will then only be used anonymously for purposes such as market research, development of products and services and other purposes related to general business operations.
How are my personal data secured?
We have taken technical and organizational security measures in accordance with the requirements in the AVG to protect the data we hold from loss or unlawful processing. Your data is treated confidentially and stored on secure servers.
What are my rights?
You have - subject to statutory exceptions - the right to ask us to inspect and/or rectify and/or delete personal data and/or restrict the processing in question. Furthermore, you have the right to object to the processing of your data and the Residentie Orkest should transfer your data - at your request. The Residentie Orkest will comply with each of the above-mentioned requests within one month, unless, for example on grounds of complexity, this cannot be required of the orchestra within the aforementioned period. If the processing of personal data is based on the consent of the data subject, the data subject has the right to withdraw the consent at any time. You have the right to file a complaint with the relevant supervisory body, namely in the Netherlands the Authority Persoonsgegevens.
What data is shared with others?
The Residentie Orkest never provides personal data to third parties unless this is necessary for the execution of an agreement, it is obliged to do so by law, it has a justified or general interest in doing so, or it has received explicit permission to do so. The Residentie Orkest itself does not sell tickets for concerts. The Residentie Orkest has agreements with some concert halls/theaters, whereby the relevant venue shares personal data with the Residentie Orkest. We collect and register the personal data provided upon purchase or otherwise and use this data to perform the service or inform the person concerned about (future) performances.
Image and sound recordings during concerts
It Residentie Orkest reserves the right to make image and/or sound recordings of the concert or event at which the visitor is present. The visitor will not object to the use of his portrait/likeness as part of the publication of said events.
Profiling and cookies
The Residentie Orkest uses automated decision making. The purpose of this is to provide better services. We use cookies when offering electronic services. A cookie is a simple small file sent with pages from this website and stored by your browser on your computer's hard drive. We use cookies to remember settings and preferences of users, so that, among other things, it can be tracked which pages are visited and thus to build a profile of online behavior. Cookies can be turned off via the browser.

The Residentie Orkest offers a newsletter to interested parties. Through this newsletter, interested parties are informed about news regarding the services offered and other related matters. The newsletter is only provided if the interested party has given his or her express consent. If desired, the interested party must provide his or her e-mail address, after which the newsletter will be sent. Each newsletter contains a link that allows the interested party to unsubscribe. The newsletter subscriber file will not be provided to third parties.
