Album release: orchestral works by Toshio Hosokawa

Toshio Hosokawa is today's most important Japanese composer with fascinating worlds of sound. Naxos releases Volume 4 of Hosokawa's orchestral works, played by the Residentie Orkest conducted by Jun Märkl in collaboration with trumpeter Jeroen Berwaerts and violinist Paul Huang.

Review of Summer Concert

On Friday, June 14, the annual Summer Concert for Golden and Platinum Friends took place. In the busy Nieuwe Badkapel in Scheveningen, music by Hahn, Caplet and Debussy was performed by musicians from the Residentie Orkest.

Transvaal Concert

RO &AMP; KC LAB

The Residentie Orkest together with the Royal Conservatoire The Hague organized the RO x KC LAB. This day produced no less than four new compositions, conducted by the National Master Orchestra Conducting students and recorded by the Art of Sound students.

A One Minute Symphony for Beethoven

A special One Minute Symphony written by composer Nikos Galenianos will be heard on May 24. This time not a meeting turned into music but a musical tribute to Beethoven's Ninth Symphony.

RO x Joep Beving

Joep Beving, one of the most listened-to living pianists in the world, joins forces with the Residentie Orkest The Hague. The pianist we know for his minimalist and introspective compositions is collaborating with an entire orchestra for the first time. The result can be heard on September 28 & 29, 2024 during a special Symphonic Junction at the Concert Hall in Amare.
