On Friday June 12, the annual Summer Concert took place in the beautiful Paleiskerk The Hague - a festive evening organized by the Friends of the Residentie Orkest Association to thank our Golden and Platinum Friends for their invaluable support.

More than 170 friends enjoyed a sparkling program, with an impressive performance by a number of musicians from the Residentie Orkest The programme included works by Benjamin Britten ( Phantasy Quartet ) and Felix Mendelssohn ( String Quartet No. 2 in A minor ), masterfully performed by:

Irene Piazza – first violin
Hester van der Vlugt – first violin
Jieun Kim – viola
Miriam Kirby – cello
Alexander of Eerdewijk – cor anglais

After the concert, a toast was made to a wonderful musical season during a cozy drink, accompanied by swinging live jazz from the Anton Jämtander Trio . The Friends Association looks back on a warm, musical evening full of connection and gratitude.
