Louise and Diederik van Wassenaer

Young violinist Diederik van Wassenaer joined our orchestra eighteen months ago. His grandmother Louise van Wassenaer, who recently celebrated her 90th birthday, was so proud that she decided to start coming to our concerts every week and join the Friends of the Residentie Orkest (VVRO).

One of our special projects is Notes, Beats & Bars, a combination between young rappers from The Hague and musicians from the Residentie Orkest. The goal? Musical connection and connection between various cultures in The Hague. The well-known jazz violinist and composer Tim Kliphuis is artistically connected to Notes, Beats & Bars.
