Jean-Guihen Queyras coming season artist in residence in The Hague

Jean-Guihen Queyras is artist in residence in The Hague at Residentie Orkest, Amare and the Royal Conservatory in the 2024/2025 season. In concerts conducted by Kerem Hasan, Anja Bihlmaier and Jun Märkl at Amare, the Concertgebouw and De Doelen , the top cellist will play works by Dvořák, Haydn and Bartók.

Residentie Orkest with Beethoven 9 into the Hague neighborhoods

Beethoven's Ninth Symphony - with the message "Alle Menschen werden Brüder" - premiered two hundred years ago. The Residentie Orkest celebrated that anniversary not only with grand performances on May 24 and 26, 2024 in Amare, but also with various musical activities in May in districts of The Hague.

Dutch premiere of The Louder the Birds Sing

Another Dutch premiere at the Residentie Orkest! On Sunday April 21, we will hear for the first time in our country The Louder the Birds Sing by Angela Elizabeth Slater. She wrote it during the coronalockdown and thus won the Gaudeamus Composition Award.

Our new cellist Iedje van Wees

The Residentie Orkest has a new Associate cello: Iedje van Wees. "The Residentie Orkest is a very open and welcoming orchestra."
