One Minute Symphony - Robin Fiedler

A special One Minute Symphony for the special Close to Classics concerts. Inspiration for this came from a conversation between composition student Robin Fiedler and conductor Chloe Rooke. How that encounter turned into notes can be heard on January 24 and 25 in Amare.

When Jane Sum returned to The Hague after sixteen years abroad, she knew one thing for sure: she wanted to fully enjoy art and culture again. A free lunch concert by the Residentie Orkest made such an impression that she decided to become a Friend. 'The concert was so beautiful that I immediately introduced my sister. Now we are both Friends!

Looking back on Christmas with the Residentie Orkest

Last weekend, just before Christmas, the Residentie Orkest played two concerts full of delightful music by Svendsen, Rachmaninov and Tchaikovsky. "Residentie Orkest in great form," according to The New Muse. A retrospective!

The most beautiful carols & carols

We celebrate the most wonderful time of the year with beautiful carols and carols performed by RO Brass. We fill the entire month of December with heartwarming Christmas videos recorded at the Nieuwe Kerk.

Review of Mahler 5

On Friday Dec. 13 and Sunday Dec. 15, Simone Lamsma performed Bruch's unsurpassed Violin Concerto No. 1 and Mahler's Fifth Symphony in an almost sold-out Amare . An experience!

Conducting project 2024

At the end of November 2024 it was party time at the Residentie Orkest. On the program was the final concert of the Conducting Project of Discover the Orchestra. As many as fourteen young conductors showed what they had in their conducting march.

Friendship through the years

From amateur days to orchestra tours, from a new grand piano to concert clothing and from music stands to a new hall. For eighty years, the Friends of the Residentie Orkest Association has contributed to numerous projects of the Hague Residentie Orkest.
