The most beautiful carols & carols

We celebrate the most wonderful time of the year with beautiful carols and carols performed by RO Brass. We fill the entire month of December with heartwarming Christmas videos recorded at the Nieuwe Kerk.

A new tune for the Residentie Orkest by composer Amarante Nat

The talented composer Amarante Nat was asked by the Residentie Orkest to write a "tune" in honor of the orchestra's 120th anniversary. We were looking for a composition that embodies the character of the orchestra and encompasses the essence of over 300 years of symphonic music. The difficult task, but we are incredibly pleased with the result!

Music can do anything....al 120 years! The Residentie Orkest celebrates its 120th anniversary with a unique impression of the orchestra that has been at the center of The Hague society since 1904.

Bass trombonist Wouter Iseger

Our bass trombonist Wouter Iseger has been playing with great regularity at the Residentie Orkest since 2000 so his appointment to permanent duty felt like coming home. "The best thing about playing in a symphony orchestra is that you create something together and bring music to life."

Dvořák's Cello Concerto

At the Prinsjesdag Concert on Sept. 17, 2024, the Residentie Orkest will play Dvořák's Cello Concerto, among others, with soloist and artist in residence Jean-Guihen Queyras. Our own cellists Roger Regter and Justa de Jong explain why for them this is the most beautiful Cello Concerto.
