With remarkably broad educational offerings, our inspired musicians spark students' curiosity. We broaden their musical knowledge, teach them new skills and stimulate their creativity. Regularly during our lessons, introverted students crawl out of their shell and tough kids dare to show their sensitive side.
We offer both larger projects and single lessons, with activities at or outside school. Moreover, you can choose from a ready-made or a fully customized program. School Diary
Workshops from the Residentie Orkest: inspiring, supportive and de-stressing. Our professionally trained musicians provide a complete lesson at any level and for any age. Easy to arrange and usable all year round.
You can choose from a variety of offerings: from more informative lessons such as Musician in the Classroom, to active music-making workshops such as playing and composing in Musical Story or musical leadership in the Conducting Workshop. Our lessons or workshops - regardless of content - are always interactive; it is precisely the interaction between the student and the musician that makes the visit valuable, inspiring and memorable.
Especially special is a visit to the orchestra during a rehearsal: Go R.O.! Being sucked out of familiar surroundings into the world of music. A longer or shorter visit, but always with a bit of making music yourself as well.
Long learning line
For schools that really want to make a difference for their students, Residentie Orkest offers two long learning lines: The Residents and Discover the Orchestra.
In both projects, the orchestra commits itself to the school, its students and group teachers for a number of years. These are intensive collaborations in which the students are frequently (in the case of The Residents even weekly) taught by our musicians, they get to know each other and actively make music together. A "deep-dive" into the world of music, unforgettable experiences for the students and maximum development.
