Every year the Residentie Orkest plays a production at The National Opera. This season, at the request of many Friends, it is again possible to attend the pre-generals. This year, the orchestra is playing the opera Innocence by Kaija Saariaho. Prior to the pre-generale, you will receive an introduction to this opera.

The main entrance of the National Opera & Ballet is at Amstel 1, on the waterfront of Waterlooplein.
National Opera & Ballet, located between Amstel and Waterlooplein, is easily accessible by public transport or bicycle.
By car, it is sometimes difficult to reach National Opera & Ballet on time: keep in mind that the center of Amsterdam can be very busy and parking space in the vicinity of National Opera & Ballet is scarce. The best option we recommend is parking garage Q-Park Waterlooplein, just a 5-minute walk from the theater. An additional advantage is that at Q-Park Waterlooplein you can reserve your parking space online in advance so you are assured of a parking space and you benefit from an advantageous deal. When leaving the Q-Park Waterlooplein parking garage, take the exit 'Amstel'.
