The Residentie Orkest for over 120 years! Back in 1904, its first conductor and founder, Henri Viotta, already believed in the impact of classical music on society and in the need for an exceptional orchestra in The Hague. Since then, the unique world of music has been passed on to new generations of conductors, musicians, and—above all—audiences, both young and old. For over 120 years, the Residentie Orkest has set Residentie Orkest standard as a symphony orchestra at the local, national, and international levels.
