Music can do anything

Help us continue to share music
The Residentie Orkest exists 120 years this season! In 1904 the first conductor and founder Henri Viotta already believed in the impact of classical music on society and in the need for an exceptional Hague orchestra. Since then, the unique world of music has been passed on to new generations of conductors, musicians and especially audiences, young and old. For 120 years the Residentie Orkest has set the tone as a symphony orchestra on a local, national and international level.
Will you celebrate with us?
The Residentie Orkest is pleased to celebrate its 120th anniversary and asks for your support. Come to one of the exclusive anniversary concerts. For example, help realize the Close to Classics series in January where schoolchildren and residents of The Hague will have the opportunity to experience a concert in the midst of the orchestra. Or support young musicians who get the opportunity to work with the Residentie Orkest during a concert in front of an audience.

At Close to Classics, you almost literally sit on the lap of the musicians of the Residentie Orkest. Hear what they hear and experience what they experience. Experience the overwhelming sounds of the most beautiful music from the inside. Absolutely a new experience for both audience and orchestra. Very eagerly the Residentie Orkest performs this concept four times in January 2025 for various groups such as elementary school pupils, residents of The Hague and people with disabilities.
A donation of 250 euros helps make this series of four unique concerts possible and gives you and a guest access to an exclusive concert especially for donors on Saturday, Jan. 25, 2025 at 4 p.m. in Studio Amare in which you yourself will sit next to and between the musicians.
You will also become a Gold Friend of the Residentie Orkest for the remainder of the season. No tickets will be available for this concert through regular channels.

In this anniversary season, two additional large projects featuring young talent will take place at the Concert Hall of Amare. During the two "side by side" projects, a total of 60 students from the Royal Conservatoire The Hague will have the opportunity to work with the musicians of the Residentie Orkest. With your contribution, these students will be accompanied and coached by our own musicians during rehearsals and concerts.
A donation of 500 Euros will help make these two unique concerts possible and give you and a guest access to Friday, March 21, 2025 (world premiere of Cada Instante by Klaas de Vries) and meet the students afterwards to hear for yourself their experiences. With your donation, you will also become a Platinum Friend of the Residentie Orkest, and enjoy all the Friends privileges for a year.

Are you interested in membership in Club RO, the circle for corporate and private donors (from 1,200 euros per year)? If so, Maurits Musch would be happy to discuss the possibilities with you. Send an email to Maurits.Musch@residentieorkest.nl to get acquainted.
