What are you going to listen to?

A party, presents and cake ... sounds fun, right? Well, not for Klaas. He thinks birthdays are stupid: boring presents, dirty cake and annoying visitors. Until suddenly a mysterious uncle shows up with ... a mysterious package. Don't open it! it says. But then again, how long can you keep that up?

Together with his best friend Krum, Klaas embarks on a wacky adventure filled with strange animals, stubborn horses and dangerous candy. The Residentie Orkest plays the soundtrack to this adventure, with music that can hum like a bear, prance like a paard or whisper like the wind. Together with actors Amy van der Weerden and Jacob de Groot, Oorkaan provides a clever mix of drama, humor and music. With sharp dialogues, unexpected turns and a good dose of mischief, they put the entire orchestra and the audience on edge.

But the biggest question remains: who gets to open the package? And ... is there actually anything in it?

The Sinterklaas Concert is exciting, musical and hilarious. Without an old-fashioned Saint, but of course full of familiar Sinterklaas songs that can be sung along at the top of your voice. Perfect for everyone who loves adventure, music and a touch of mystery (and secretly also for those who hate dirty cake).

This performance was developed by Oorkaan i.c.w. the Residentie Orkest.

Practice the songs from the show ahead of time so you can sing along at the top of your voice!
