Last weekend we two were treated to the imperial splendor of Beethoven's Emperor's Concerto with pianist Lucas Jussen and Walton's rarely performed First Symphony. His first was turbulent, agitated, sometimes mournful, but closed with triumphant determination; utterly innovative.
