Review of Residentie Orkest meets Storioni Trio
With the Dutch premiere of Fagerlund's Triple Concerto
The well-known conductor Antony Hermus was back at the Residentie Orkest on April 26 ! He conducted, among other things, the Dutch premiere of the Tripel Concerto 'Lanterna' which Finnish Sebastian Fagerlund had written especially for the Storioni Trio and the Residentie Orkest.
"Fagerlund's Tripel Concerto excels in the quiet movements," according to Trouw, and "the enthusiasm of conductor Antony Hermus echoes through the orchestra." The evening was introduced with the One Minute Symphony "The Fool Card" by Anat Spiegel and the Overture "Die Hebriden" by Mendelssohn. Finally, Beethoven's heroic Third Symphony sounded.
