What a festive end to Prinsjesdag with our very own Prinsjesdag Concert! Children from The Residents Academy, The Residents Stadsorkest and the talent class of Johan de Witt Scholengroep opened the concert with Merry-Go-Round of Life from the movie 'Howl's Moving Castle' and there were shudders in Saint-Saëns' Danse macabre in which our concertmaster Wouter Vossen played the violin solo. Then our new artist in residence, violinist Bomsori Kim, sang solo in the virtuoso Fantaisie brillante by Polish composer Henryk Wieniawski and, finally, the impressive Swan Lake by Tchaikovsky.

The Prinsjesdag Concert also marked the beginning of Jun Märkl's chief conductorship at the Residentie Orkest. Enjoy the moment with these beautiful photos taken by Eduardus Lee.
