Residentie Orkest At Dutch Violin Competition


Oskar Back Prize 2026

On Saturday , January Saturday , TivoliVredenburg Roozeman, Luna van Leeuwen, and Yente Lottman competed for the Oskar Back Prize 2026 during the finals of the Dutch Violin Competition at TivoliVredenburg in Utrecht. The Residentie Orkest by Otto Tausk, accompanied the three finalists in works by Glazoenov and Saint-Saƫns. The first prize and the audience prize were won by Rebecca Roozeman, while the other finalists shared the second prize.

The Dutch Violin Competition is a biennial competition for young violin talents aged 6 to 26. The competition is divided into four age categories, including the Oskar Back category for young people aged 18 to 26. The Residentie Orkest the regular accompanist for the finalists during the final concert of the latter age category.
