The Hague Messiah Sing-Along 2026

Join us for the Hague Sing-Along Messiah!

Have you always wanted to sing in a choir together with a symphony orchestra? Then grab your chance now and sign up for the Residentie Orkest's unique Hague Singing Messiah !

Together , we’ll rehearse four movements from Handel’s famous *Messiah*, including, of course, the iconic “Hallelujah.” Rehearsals will begin in three neighborhoods in The Hague and culminate in a grand finale at Amare, where—during the rehearsal—we’ll sing alongside the Residentie Bach Choir and the full Residentie Orkest in the “ Concert Hall ” from Amare.

Would you like to participate in The Hague’s Sing-Along Messiah? If so, please fill out this form and pay the project fee via the link below. For a project fee of €30, you’ll get to sing along with the Sing-Along Messiah and receive a nice surprise afterward.

For whom.

Everyone is welcome - from novice to experienced singers. Enthusiasm is more important than experience!

Good to know

  • Being able to read notes is helpful, but not a requirement

  • Following the successful first edition led by Rick Schoonbeek, this year you’ll be rehearsing with conductors Sanne Nieuwenhuijsen, Patrick Pranger, and Daniëlle van Lieshout; pianists Andrea Vasi and Jean-Baptiste Milon; and Chloe Rooke, who will conduct the final performance.

  • There is sheet music and sung rehearsal audio for each voice type available to practice at home. You will find these further down this page.

  • We ask that you attend at least two rehearsals at the venues, the joint and dress rehearsal. You may also come to multiple evenings/locations. Signing up = participating!

The sheet music and rehearsal audio for the pieces will be added here later.
