Join us on Saturday afternoon, May 2, for the Amateur Arts Festival during the Volunteer Fair “Together for a Better The Hague” at Open Amare.
Following two successful editions, PEP The Hague, in collaboration with the Residentie Orkest, Cultuurschakel, and Open Amare , is once again organizing a unique event Amare Saturday , May Saturday , from 12:30 PM to 4:30 PM: a comprehensive citywide Amateur Arts Festival & Volunteer Market.
Under the motto “Together for a more beautiful The Hague,” we will spend this afternoon exploring the power of music combined with the joy and connection of making music and singing together. Various amateur music and dance groups will perform. You are welcome to attend a rehearsal of the Residentie Orkest. Or come to the “The Hague Amateur Music” Inspiration Talk.

The Residentie Orkest the Amateur Arts Festival. Through various community projects into the city in collaboration with community partners, the Residentie Orkest aims to introduce Residentie Orkest residents of The Hague to music, inspire them, and bring them together. We believe in the power of music as a tool for bringing about positive change.
Under the motto “Together for a more beautiful The Hague – Together at Home,” this afternoon we’ll explore the power of music combined with the joy and connection of playing and singing together.

Comelisten, watch, and participate, and be inspired by, among others, the Residents Academy & Magic Melody Streetband, ensembles from the Viotta Youth Orchestra, the Royal Hague Harmony, the Klein maar Dapper Orchestra, Music Matters | International Choir, the Mama Story Choir, Vocal Joy, the Residentie Bach Choir, Kwasi Kloos, Pop Choir Pepperoni, Gospel Boost The Hague, and Ruta Voices – Ukrainian Voices in the Netherlands. You’ll also hear performances by Streetband FF Anderz, Brass Band Kap Nâh, and music association Kunst naar Kracht, among others.
Join us for a public rehearsal by the Residentie Orkest Amare Concert Hall , featuring Stravinsky’s *The Rite of Spring*, among other works. There will also be mini-teasers from various ensembles and a flash mob by the Vrijheidskoor throughout the city.
