Relax and unwind on Sunday morning
Sunday Morning Concert:
Saint-Saëns & Brahms
This concert is part of the Sunday Morning series.
Set the tone for your Sunday morning: bright, warm and relaxed. Daniel Müller-Schott, one of today's most sought-after cellists, brings Saint-Saëns’ Cello Concerto No. 1 to life with lyricism and elegance. Next up is Brahms’ Symphony No. 2, inviting the sun into the Amare Concert Hall – expansive, gentle and rich. A lovely way to start the day with both calm and energy.
This morning is all about warmth. Saint-Saëns’ Cello Concerto No. 1 combines refinement with playful virtuosity in a single, uninterrupted musical arc. Müller-Schott’s clear, noble tone is perfectly suited to the work. Brahms then follows with a symphony often described as his “sunniest”, offering broad melodies, soft brilliance and an uplifting finale. The perfect programme for a bright, relaxed morning.
Music workshop for children
Tip! During the concert, children aged 4 to 12 can attend a music workshop for €5 per child. Please book tickets in advance. The workshop will be in Dutch. You can book tickets here.
