Relax and unwind on Sunday morning
Sunday morning "
" concert:
Saint-Saëns & Brahms
This concert is part of the Sunday Morning series.
Your Sunday morning sets the tone right from the start: bright, warm, and relaxed. One of today’s most sought-after cellists, Daniel Müller-Schott, brings the lyricism and elegance of Saint-Saëns’ First Cello Concerto to life. Next, Brahms’ Second Symphony lets the sun shine into the Concert Hall: spacious, gentle, and rich. Ideal for starting the day with both calm and energy.
This morning is all about warmth. In Saint-Saëns’ Cello Concerto No. 1, both refinement and playful virtuosity resonate: a single, flowing musical arc without interruption. Müller-Schott’s tone is clear and noble; perfect for this piece. Brahms follows with a symphony often called his “sunniest”: broad melodies, soft brilliance, and a finale that lifts you up. A program that leaves just the right amount of space for a clear, relaxed morning of listening.
Children’s Music Workshop
