A magnificent finale
Tchaikovsky’s *
* *Pathétique*
This concert is part of the series Symphonic Friday - Small - €29 for ages 29 and under.
Music that feels like a story that simply must be told. Anastasia Kobekina takes the stage at Amare for the first time Amare brings Dvořák’s Cello Concerto to life: warm, lyrical, and passionate. Kerem Hasan guides you to Tchaikovsky’s Pathétique, a symphony that slowly takes you from longing to stillness.
The common thread is emotion in motion. Dvořák wrote his Cello Concerto while homesickness overwhelmed him in New York; Slavic colors, lyrical lines, and gentle melancholy flow together into a grand, deeply felt work. Tchaikovsky’s Pathétique sounds like an inner confession: impulsive, vulnerable, at times desperate, then tender again, and at the end you are gripped by the breathless silence. Together they form an evening that feels like a novel in two chapters.
