A little over a week after the premiere of this ultimate romantic statement, Tchaikovsky passed away. His Last journey is as enigmatic and majestic as life itself. With the poignant, slow Finale, he created a dirge for eternity. Tchaikovsky’s comforting notes are now brought to life by the Residentie Orkest.
