The best symphonic music, short and sweet!
RO NOW:
Dvořák's Symphony No. 5
This concert is part of the RO NOW series.
RO NOW makes the classical concert even more lively. Before the concert, our host Sander Zwiep—known from NPO Klassiek—will join the orchestra to share a few short, insightful examples that will prepare your ears for what’s to come: an always surprising program that’s guaranteed to make your weekend shine. Feel free to stick around after the concert: the music will keep playing in the foyer, the drinks are chilled, and the first round is on us.
This concert showcases two facets of the same world: the inner voice in Mahler and the open horizon in Dvořák. In the selectedRückert Lieder, Barbara Kozelj brings every emotion to life with her warm mezzo voice, supported by Antony Hermus’s transparent accompaniment. Then Dvořák’s pastoralSymphony No. 5draws you outdoors: playful, sunny, and imbued with the Bohemian landscape. An evening that lets the human spirit speak from within and allows nature to resound in all its splendor.
