Mijs is very headstrong, a bit chaotic, and has a huge heart. But she’s not doing well. Things are tough at home, and at school, everyone thinks she’s stupid. But even worse: her mother has passed away. Mijs feels lonely and sad, completely alone. But just as Mijs gets so angry that she wants to run away, something special happens. A mysterious woman appears and takes Mijs into the world of music.

In *Hoor je mij? *, Mijs learns that everyone is different, just as every instrument sounds different, but that, just like an orchestra, we are all connected. The four stories the mysterious woman tells lead Mijs through different groups of instruments. The orchestra alternates between soft, subdued passages and cheerful, exuberant sounds. This is how she discovers how instruments can express emotions and tell stories. Can You Hear Me? invites you to listen closely, think along, and feel along, and shows that music is a world of its own where anything is possible.
