A magical musical adventure!
The Thousand Doors of Amare (4+)
Which door will you open first? In The Thousand Doors of Amare, children from age 4 embark on a joyful musical adventure. Together with the Keeper of the Keys and the Dream Scrubbers, funny, quirky and wondrous worlds come to life, filled with instruments and sounds that make you laugh, move and dream.
So…
tell us,
very quietly.
Which door…
would you like to open?
Today is all about curiosity and fun: behind every door awaits a new sound, a cheerful rhythm or an unexpected instrument. The Thousand Doors of Amare is a unique performance celebrating the fifth anniversary of Amare, the cultural heart of The Hague. The Residentie Orkest, conductor Leonard Evers and the young musicians of the Royal Conservatory guide children through this musical playground, where listening, discovering and participating take centre stage. Come and join us on this musical adventure!
Come and play in our Instrument Garden!
Have you ever wanted to play the trumpet, guitar or drums? Discover the joy of making music by playing along with our orchestra musicians before or after the concert. The Instrument Garden will be open before the 11:00 AM performance and after the 1:30 PM performance.
Please note: the age recommendation is a guideline only. We kindly ask parents and carers to determine for themselves whether the performance is suitable for their child, keeping in mind the enjoyment of other visitors.
