Relax and unwind on Sunday morning
Elgar's Cello Concerto

This concert is part of the Sunday Morning series.
Start your Sunday morning off right with music that transports you to other worlds. The quiet, heartfelt sounds of Elgar's Cello Concerto, performed by the masterful cellist Leonard Elschenbroich, will invite you to take a moment to pause and reconnect with yourself. Under the inspired direction of chief conductor Jun Märkl, we'll weave a rich tapestry of warm, expressive melodies - music that moves you and encourages you to find your own meaning within its notes.
Next, Debussy and Ravel will whisk you away to the south. In Iberia, Debussy paints a sun-drenched landscape bursting with colour and rhythm. You can almost feel the balmy air on your face and hear the vibrant sounds of Spain. We'll round it all off with Ravel's masterful Boléro. Its hypnotic cadence builds steadily, drawing you in before sending you off into the real world again, energised and uplifted. A concert that lets you lose track of time, sweeping you away with music that moves and inspires.
Musical workshop for children
For children aged 4 to 12, there's a fun musical workshop during the concert for €5 per child. Please be sure to book in advance! The workshop is in Dutch.
