Relax and unwind on Sunday morning
Chopin & Sibelius

This concert is part of the Sunday Morning series.
Start your Sunday morning off right with two masterpieces that will transport you to a world of peace and reflection. Chopin's Piano Concerto No. 2 opens with dreamy melodies and lyrical beauty, composed by a young artist who poured his deepest emotions into his music. The piano part is refined and virtuosic, supported by a subtle orchestral accompaniment that envelops the listener in a warm soundscape.
Then comes Sibelius's Symphony No. 1 . Grand and cinematic, with lush strings and dramatic brass, this symphony builds on Tchaikovsky's introspective style. Sibelius develops his slow, robust themes into a powerful and dramatic conclusion. This concert will be led by Elena Schwarz, a conductor known for her extraordinary precision and sensitivity, with the internationally acclaimed pianist Nelson Goerner at the grand piano. A truly inspiring way to start your Sunday!
Musical workshop for children
For children aged 4 to 12, there's a fun musical workshop during the concert for €5 per child. Please be sure to book in advance! The workshop is in Dutch.
