As for the concert itself, the music will delight, move and stay with you long after the final note. Afterwards, you're welcome to stick around in the foyer to enjoy live music and a drink on the house.
Le Sacre du printemps (The Rite of Spring), written for the Ballets Russes, is undoubtedly Igor Stravinsky's most famous composition - not least because its premiere sparked the most famous riot in classical music history. With a full orchestra, we'll bring this revolutionary, rhythmic ballet composition to life. You simply can't miss this! And that's not all - tonight also marks the world premiere of Willem Jeths's Piano Concerto. A Dutch avant-garde composer and storyteller, Jeths crafts compositions rich in contrasts, with sometimes unexpected, almost surrealistic elements. A perfect combination and a real treat for your weekend.
Willem Jeths's Piano Concerto was made possible through the support of Performing Arts Fund NL.
