Acclaimed trumpeter Selina Ott brings her breathtaking technique and youthful energy to Tomasi's Trumpet Concerto - once considered unplayable, now a cornerstone of the twentieth-century trumpet repertoire. She also shines in Peskin's playful Scherzo, a musical firework display perfect for the festive season. The programme will also celebrate some of France's finest compositions, from the dreamy sounds of Debussy's Claire de Lune and the lively charm of Poulenc's Les Biches to the theatrical grandeur of Berlioz's Le carnaval romain (Roman Carnival)  and the unforgettable melodies of Bizet's L'Arlésienne.
