One of Europe's finest choirs presents one of the most beautiful requiems ever composed - the Netherlands Radio Choir returns to The Hague for Gabriel Fauré's Requiem. This masterpiece opens the heart, with waves of emotion interspersed with gentle comfort. It's not a farewell, but a tribute to life itself: a requiem for those who live and carry on.

There is no requiem quite like Fauré's – so intimate and serene, where all fear and worry have faded away and only timelessness remains. Soprano Judith van Wanroij, renowned for her intense and dramatic interpretations, and baritone Raoul Steffani, winner of the 2023 Dutch Music Prize, will be joined by conductor Tianyi Lu. Known for her open, creative and unifying style, the New Zealander is the perfect choice to bring Fauré's intimacy to life, alongside Beethoven's playful and charming Symphony No. 4  and Hendrik Andriessen's stunning  Miroir de peine - a composition full of beautiful vocal lines that takes the listener on a journey through the Passion of Christ as seen through the eyes of his mother, Mary.
