Sunday Morning
Mozart & Grieg
This concert is part of the Young Classic series.
Sunday morning music for the soul
Experience the magic of Sunday mornings with the Residentie Orkest. Take a moment to relax, unwind and enjoy soul-stirring symphonies. This morning, you'll hear the deep, remarkable sounds of Mozart's Clarinet Concerto, followed by an adventurous journey with the devilish Peer Gynt – composed by Edvard Grieg, the master of mood and atmosphere.
Norwegian folklore, brimming with tragedy and humour, unfolds in a vast musical landscape. Grieg translated the wild fantasy world of Peer Gynt into sound. The rising sun, raging trolls, mesmerising dancers... Young British conducting talent and our emerging artist in residence Chloe Rooke will be taking the stage. With her boundless energy and infectious joy, she's a perfect match for Grieg's Norwegian mischief. This morning, you'll also be treated to the heavenly, melodious sounds of our own soloist Arno Stoffelsma, presenting one of Mozart's final works: his wonderful Clarinet Concerto.
Musical workshop for children
Tip! During the concert, children aged 4 to 12 can attend a musical workshop for €4 per child. Please book tickets in advance here. The workshop will be in Dutch.
