Sunday morning music for the soul

Discover the magic of Sunday morning at Residentie Orkest : a time to escape, relax and enjoy mind-blowing compositions. This morning you will hear the deep, extraordinary sounds of Mozart's Clarinet Concerto and travel thereon with a devil of a man: the adventurous Peer Gynt - composed by the master of mood and atmosphere: Edvard Grieg.

Norwegian folklore, full of tragedy and humor, in a broad musical landscape. Grieg translated the mad fantasy world of Peer Gynt into sound. Rising sun, raging trolls, hypnotic dancers. Up-and-coming British conducting talent and our emerging artist in residence Chloe Rooke steps up to the plate. With her boundless energy and infectious fun, she is a perfect adversary for Norwegian badassery. This morning you will also hear the lilting, heavenly sounds of our own soloist Arno Stoffelsma performing one of Mozart's Last pieces of music: his wonderful Clarinet Concerto.

Musical workshop for children

For children aged 4 to 12, there's a fun musical workshop during the concert for €4 per child. Please be sure to book in advance! The workshop is in Dutch.
