RO NOW adds lustre to your weekend! Treat yourself to musical masterpieces that are guaranteed to delight your ears. The conductor will first briefly introduce the music, illustrated with examples by the orchestra, to enhance your experience. In this edition of RO NOW, Richard Strauss will guide us on a musical journey through the Alps, from the nocturnal darkness to the radiant sunset. A majestic musical highlight.

We'll be performing Eine Alpensinfonie with over a hundred musicians. The orchestra will take you along on a sublime mountain hike, leading from the silence of the night to a misty morning, past flowers, hunters and rustling plants, all the way to the mountaintop. The weather will be stormy, the stars will twinkle overhead and the snow will make you shiver, but the view will take your breath away. In this special collaboration with the Royal Conservatoire The Hague, students will join us to tell this story in 22 parts. "Majestic" will be the key word this evening, reflecting both the grandeur of the mountain world and the massive orchestral ensemble.

RO NOW Extra
RO NOW Extra is a special edition of RO NOW in which we invite the audience to delve deeper into specific themes with us. Taking the featured works and composers as our point of departure, we ask experts to shed light on the often timeless and universal themes addressed in the music.

We don't claim to have all the answers. But we do believe that our music offers a perfect opportunity to pause and reflect amid the hustle and bustle of life.
