Join us on a musical journey narrated by one of the greatest symphonic lineups ever.

From the valley, Richard Strauss takes us to the roof of the Alps. Feel the power of the mountain. Be overwhelmed how the music gives color to the fantastic nature and gigantic vistas. Feel at the same time humble and grateful on the flanks of this magnificent mountain. Up, higher. There where the air is thin and the weather inclement you finally enjoy the overwhelming feeling of reaching the summit.
This journey takes you from the grandeur of outside to the intimate silence within. This is the Alpine symphony. You must take this journey.

With over one hundred musicians, we perform Eine Alpensinfonie . Together the orchestra describes a sublime mountain journey, which from the silence of night, to a misty morning, past flowers, hunters and rustling vegetation, leads you to the mountaintop. It storms, the stars sparkle and the snow is cold, but the view takes your breath away. In a special collaboration with the Royal Conservatoire The Hague, join us students to tell this story in 22 parts. Majestic is the key word, in both the stateliness of the mountain world, and through the massive orchestra.

RO NOW Extra
A special RO NOW in which we dive deeper into a theme together with our audience. Starting from the music and the composers, we ask specific experts to shed their light on the often timeless and universal themes that are addressed.

We do not claim to have the answers. What we do think is that our music lends itself perfectly to taking some time for deepening in this hectic life.
