Unfortunately, this concert has already taken place. But not to worry! We will be playing many more concerts soon.
Join us on a musical mountain ascent narrated by one of the greatest symphonic lineups ever.

From the valley, Richard Strauss takes you up the mountain. Feel the power of the mountain. Hear how the music gives color to nature and the vistas. Experience the overwhelming feeling of reaching the summit. This journey takes you from the grandeur outside to the intimate silence within. This is the Alpine symphony. You must take this journey.

We begin the evening with presenter Christiaan Kuyvenhoven talking about what makes this piece so special. The orchestra illustrates this with examples so you hear more as you listen. Then over one hundred musicians perform Eine Alpensinfonie . The orchestra describes a sublime mountain trek, which from the silence of night, to a misty morning, past flowers, streams and rustling vegetation, leads you to the mountaintop. It storms, the stars shine and the snow is cold, but the view takes your breath away. In a special collaboration with the Royal Conservatoire The Hague, students join us to tell this story in 22 parts. Majestic is the key word, in both the stateliness of the mountain world, and through the massive orchestral line-up.

RO NOW Extra
During this RO NOW, we will help you escape the hectic life for a while. For example, unwind during an Alpine Sound Bath before the concert.... or just dance it all off during the Silent Alpen Disco afterwards.
