Meet the stars of tomorrow
Top talent in Amare
Unfortunately, this concert has already taken place. But not to worry! We will be playing many more concerts soon.
Passion splashes from tonight's three young musicians: conductor Chloe Rooke, pianist Nikola Meeuwsen and violinist Coraline Groen are the stars of tomorrow. Award-winning talents who, young as they are, passionately carry you along in a romantic adventure with works by Vaughan Williams, Schumann, Sibelius and Beethoven.
The Hague-based pianist Nikola Meeuwsen is one of the Netherlands' greatest piano talents. He won the prestigious Concertgebouw Young Talent Award in 2019 and the Grachtenfestival Prize in 2022. His rendition of Clara Schumann's little-performed Piano Concerto will be fascinating. Coraline Groen won the 2020 Oskar Back Violin Competition. She plays Vaughan Williams' breathtakingly beautiful The Lark Ascending tonight. Conductor Chloe Rooke, with her boundless energy and infectious fun, won the audience award of the distinguished Donatella Flick LSO Conducting Competition in 2021 and was a prize winner of the International Conducting Competiton Rotterdam. Three talents that will undoubtedly touch your heart.

"Coraline Groen demonstrated exhilarating thrusts of energy, often capped off by magnificent cadential trills. [...] she and the Residentie Orkest were as if one"
