This short but powerful concert will give your weekend a unique twist by introducing you to classical masterpieces. You're welcome to join us (and the DJ) for a nice cold drink in the foyer afterwards. First round's on us!

An evening of surprises
Tonight you will witness a premiere in The Hague! Mathilde Wantenaar wrote her Concert for accordion and orchestra for the Residentie Orkest and Dutch accordionist Vincent van Amsterdam . The versatile, Dutch composer wrote operas, concertos, orchestral works and for singers and choirs. Her style? Lyrical, enchanting and eclectic. Her goal? To touch people with her music. Regular conductor Anja Bihlmaier then leads you into the swirling music of Stravinsky's ballet Petrushka. The ballet is based on a Russian folk tale about love and jealousy. Powerful, colorful music that stands like a house even without the ballet.

This concert is in cooperation with Festival Dag in de Branding.
