Many women are now making their mark on the music world. But that has taken a long time. Not because their compositions are inferior to those of male composers, but because music too was a man's world. Tonight works by six female composers, of whom pianist Clara Schumann is perhaps the best known. A child prodigy who married composer Robert Schumann. Her single Piano Trio illustrates her artistic versatility: from bittersweet and dramatic to energetic and exciting.
