A new season and a new artist in residence. We are proud to present pianist Yeol Eum Son who will perform a Ravel classic at the Residentie Orkest 's traditional Prinsjesdag Concert . Versatile, graceful, young and timeless - Son promises to open the season in wonderful fashion.

Ravel's Piano Concerto in G clearly shows an American influence full of jazz and dynamism. A varied and surprising composition that challenges the pianist - in virtuosity, but also in finding sound and touché. In The Hague, Son meets our chief conductor Anja Bihlmaier. Then, for the second piece, we also stay with Ravel, this time orchestrating Modest Mussorgsky's Pictures at an Exhibition. A monumental and evocative piece, as idiosyncratic as our new artist in residence.
