Join us in celebrating 125 years of the city of peace and justice

2024 marks the 125th anniversary of the first Hague Peace Conference (1899). A historic moment that marked the beginning of a new era for The Hague. Celebrate with us the time travel of a city that grew from a city of local government to the global center for peace and justice; a PeaceTimetravel!

The Municipality of The Hague is therefore organizing eight Peace Dinners across the city this year with the Participation Kitchen. The musicians will play parts of Dvorak's Terzetto and the famous Nimrod from Elgar's Enigma Variations. This Last work was also written exactly 125 years ago.
