The function

As cor anglais and tutti oboe player, you must have an open and welcoming attitude in addition to offering outstanding artistic and technical playing. A new programme is prepared and performed each week. Your primary duties will be playing cor anglais but you will also play tutti oboe parts. You will also be adaptable for educational and social activities and performances in smaller settings.

Job requirements

It goes without saying that you must be a distinguished oboist and cor anglais player, with excellent skills as an orchestral and chamber musician. We expect that you will always be properly prepared on stage and will observe appropriate professional etiquette. 

For us it is essential that every colleague acts as an ambassador for our orchestra, and in addition to collective stage activities, cooperate in outreach and educational activities and productions in ensemble settings. We are searching for a positive and engaged team player who can strike the right balance between individuality and the collective.

We would like to receive your application in the form of a fully completed application form by August 21, 2023. A reference to a representative video is a plus, especially for candidates we do not yet know.

Trial for this position will take place on Wednesday, Sept. 27, 2023. Required work:

- W.A. Mozart: Oboe Concerto in C KV 314, 1st and 2nd movements without cadenza;

- Pasculli: Omaggio a Bellini

- Orchestral parts to be determined.

To be eligible for these positions, you must hold valid and unrestricted work and residence permits for the Netherlands if you are from a country outside the EU, your application will not be considered if you do not hold these documents.
