Junior Marketer
32-36 hours (0.8-0.9 fte)
Are you an energetic and curious Starter in the marketing field? Do you have a passion for campaigns, content creation, online communications and want to contribute to the visibility of our orchestra? We are looking for a hands-on Junior Marketer who enjoys getting to work on increasing our own revenue, audience reach and orchestra brand awareness.
Who we are.
For more than 120 years, the Residentie Orkest has set the tone as a leading symphony orchestra regionally, nationally and internationally, and we are proud of it. With an adventurous and surprising repertoire we bring special, beautiful and relevant compositions to life, but our mission extends beyond the Concert Hall alone. We stand at the center of city life in The Hague and want to connect and enrich people-from young to old, from local residents to world citizens. We do this with inspiring educational programs, meaningful social projects and stimulating collaborations with various cultural partners. The home base of the Residentie Orkest is Amare, in the center of The Hague. We are also a welcome guest in major Dutch venues such as De Nationale Opera, Het Concertgebouw and TivoliVredenburg. The Residentie Orkest has many loyal visitors, but we are also always looking for new audiences. For this we need a sophisticated marketing strategy which you, together with our team, will help build.

Junior Marketer
32-36 hours (0.8-0.9 fte)
What will you do?
Together with experienced colleagues from the Marketing & Communications department, you will contribute to the development, execution and effectiveness of 360° campaigns, online communication tools and content creation to support brand awareness, ticket sales, corporate sales, education, talent development, community projects, fundraising, donors and Friends.
You will work with the Campaign Marketer on various, large-scale campaigns and will be responsible for a number of campaigns that you will coordinate from briefing to publication, working with advertising, PR and media agencies;
You will work with the Content and Online Marketers to create, coordinate and publish new content and actively contribute to our brand on social channels, our website and through mailings;
You will arrange and coordinate the deployment and work of photo and videographers during concerts and other events or activities;
You will work with the Campaign and Online Marketer to create the communications plan for each concert season and together monitor the schedule and budgets;
You will prepare reports of marketing activities so we can continuously improve based on what works and what doesn't;
On behalf of the Marketing & Communications Department, you will occasionally attend evening or weekend concerts or other events.
Who are you?
You have HBO working and thinking level;
You already have some experience with executive marketing and communication tasks, for example through your education, internship or graduation;
You are communicative, enthusiastic, committed and flexible, enjoy learning new things and have good overview skills;
You are creative, write well and flawlessly, and know how to use different social media platforms;
You can independently create (digital) content and know how to adapt it to different audiences;
You can analyze, interpret and report results of marketing activities;
You have an affinity for performing arts, culture or classical music.
What do we offer?
A challenging entry-level position in a dynamic environment in the cultural heart of The Hague;
A place in an experienced, energetic, driven and fun team consisting of five colleagues;
One-year contract with the prospect of permanent employment;
Your salary will be up to €4,330 gross per month for a 40-hour work week;
You will also receive (for full-time employment) 47 vacation days, 8% vacation allowance and a year-end bonus of 8.25%;
Ability to work partially from home by mutual agreement;
A staff arrangement for attending concerts of the Residentie Orkest.
