For those residents of The Hague who cannot come to our concerts at Amare - because they are unable to, or because they have never been exposed to classical music before - we make it easy: our musicians come to you! With free neighborhood concerts, large and small, we want to connect local residents in The Hague and, of course, let them enjoy the power of music.
From a concert in an old church in Transvaal to a full Zuiderparktheater in Escamp - with our free neighborhood concerts we strive to connect with residents of The Hague. We introduce visitors to our orchestra, to classical music and encourage them to meet each other. For this we seek cooperation with local artists and musicians.

Curious about what a top orchestra sounds like? Come to the Residentie Orkest lunch concerts at Amare! On selected Thursday or Friday afternoons in season 2024-2025, we will play a half-hour from the weekend concert. Have you received an invitation code for a lunch concert? If so, the concert is free to attend!
We also bring music to you on a smaller scale. Our musicians visit community centers, parks, senior citizens' homes and neighborhood theaters. Residents from Loosduinen, Transvaal, Schilderswijk, Scheveningen and Moerwijk have already been surprised with a free mini-concert at their front door.
With these performances we invite local residents to come into contact with our orchestra as well as with each other. In some locations, we harness the power of music to combat loneliness and social isolation; in others, it's all about getting acquainted with classical music, always with the goal of building a lasting connection.
