From debate to action in Transvaal and the Schilderswijk
With music from the Residentie Orkest rappers from the neighborhood, Juliana Plaza was not only a place for discussion during the party leader debate, but also a place for bringing people together. Transvaal and the Schilderswijk spoke for themselves.
During a well-attended meeting, residents and entrepreneurs engaged in conversation with party leaders from The Hague. Rather than a traditional debate, it took the form of roundtable discussions focused on experiences and solutions.
The evening ended with a joint closing statement: a single integrated area approach, structural financing, and a decisive role for residents.
The Residentie Orkest the Hague Hip Hop Center underscored that message with a joint performance of strings and rap—a musical image of the power and diversity of the neighborhoods.
