Together against poverty through musical connection
International World Poverty Day

On October 17, on International World Poverty Day, the Residentie Orkest reflected on a reality that is closer than we sometimes think. In The Hague, over 28,000 households live in poverty. Behind these figures are stories of resilience, but also of silent struggle.
On this day, the Quiet Foundation, Theater De Vaillant and the Residentie Orkest joined forces to break the silence of poverty. Music as a bridge between worlds, as comfort and as a moment of connection. A special concert was given for the members of Quiet, people who are often out of the spotlight, but were the focus on this day.
💛 Fighting poverty is not something we do alone. Together with each other, volunteers and concerned citizens, we build a society in which everyone can participate. Together we are stronger.
