How can different voices coexist without losing their individuality? In *Closer*, composition student Floris van Ballegooijen draws inspiration from the theme of peace.

Different melodies each follow their own rhythm and path. They contrast with one another, sometimes clashing, yet still find a way to blend together. In this way ,differences give rise to a polyphonic unity. You can hear the result at the “ Friday ” concert on October 9 at Amare in The Hague.
