One Minute Symphony

Archie Tulk

Seeking inspiration for his One Minute Symphony, young composition student Archie Tulk visited SVV Scheveningen, one of the oldest soccer clubs in the Netherlands. Herman Kooijenga, head of youth training, gave him a tour and told him about the club's rich history. SVV is known for passion, perseverance and community. The highlight was the championship in the second division in 1991-1992. The club remains a source of pride for Scheveningen and has produced many talents. For Archie, soccer, like music, is emotion and collaboration - exactly what he wants to capture in his composition. How Archie turned the encounter into notes, you will hear on December 5 at Amare.

Listen to Archie Tulk's One Minute Symphony live at the "Schubert & Brahms ' concert on Friday , Dec. 5.
