Tilen Lebar's 1-minute symphony

In the One Minute Symphony project, composition students from the Royal Conservatoire The Hague take to the streets to make contact with a resident of The Hague or are inspired by a location or a work of art somewhere in the city. The students write a one-minute symphony about this encounter, which is played by us a short time later. A personal story transformed into music. That is only possible at Residentie Orkest.

"I'm looking for sound that evaporates into the air."

- Tilen Lebar

Composition student Tilen Lebar looked for inspiration at the waste transfer station on Uitenhagestraat.

When he cycles past the building, it fascinates him every time. The recycled materials of which it is made invite Tilen to make music. He also tries to combine it with the theme of Ascension.

The premiere of Tilan Lebar's One Minute Symphony sounds to Tchaikovsky's Pathétique Friday, May 27, at 8 p.m. at Amare.
