NOTES, BEATS & BARS

An exciting exchange between rap and classical music

After a long time of not seeing each other, our musicians and the rappers from the Hague Hiphop Center got back together for a first jam session for Notes, Beats & Bars. At Notes, Beats & Bars, improvisation takes center stage. From exploratory interplay, music and lyrics are conceived and developed. The result is an exciting exchange between rap and classical music, responding to current themes.

The goal of Notes, Beats & Bars is to realize musical connection and connection between diverse cultures in The Hague. The well-known jazz violinist and composer Tim Kliphuis is artistically connected to Notes, Beats & Bars: "The artistic goal of Notes, Beats & Bars concerns fusing the worlds of rap and symphony at the highest level."

Notes, Beats & Bars is part of #Symphony2030, the social programming of the Residentie Orkest.
