Musical gift for Hague family caregivers
On Wednesday afternoon, November 6, a preview of the 'Haagse Mantelzorg Driedaagse' was held in Juliana Plaza, with many informative presentations on informal care, a tasty lunch and a fine performance by RO in the city, the social program of the Residentie Orkest.
About five million Dutch people take care of their own household on a daily basis, have a job, but are also informal caregivers for someone close to them. That this is no easy task was evident from the stories of the eighty or so attendees. It was very valuable that all kinds of experts were present to support them. Together you are always stronger.
The Residentie Orkest treated those present to music by Bach, Beethoven and Kortekaas, among others, which was performed glowingly by Abel Garcia (violin) and Iteke Wijbenga (viola). And as a surprise, free lunch concert tickets were handed out for the concerts at Amare, because the Residentie Orkest obviously thinks we should cherish our Hague family caregivers.
