Cold days, warm hearts
Music and stories in the neighborhood
What does it mean to be there for another person? Or that someone is there for you? In a few special musical gatherings in different neighborhoods in The Hague we will search together for stories about humanity. We eat together, listen to live music by musicians of the Residentie Orkest and interviews accompanied by Haags Verhaal.
Come too and join us for one of these heartwarming evenings full of stories and a delicious hot meal.

Joint closing on Sunday afternoon, Dec. 14
What makes a person human? At a time when society is hardening and differences often lead to division, in this project we are actually looking for connection. Inspired by Schulhoff's vocal symphony Menschheit and Mahler's First Symphony, we bring together music, stories and encounter. Schulhoff returned disillusioned from the front in WWI and sought the essence of humanity through his music. Even today that search is topical.
In Amare on Sunday afternoon, December 14, during the concert Mahler 1 , the project will be concluded. All speakers from the neighborhoods will be guests then. During the Starter, starting at 1:30 p.m., Erwin Schulhoff's flute trio will be played and an interview from the neighborhoods will be repeated.
